The ecopot combines a PLA-coated kraft-cardboard cup with a small growing surprise. Inside are a coconut fibre tablet and plant seeds, many of which are available as certified organic varieties. The sleeve is made from Bio Top 3 paper, bleached without chlorine, free from optical brighteners and made in Austria. Simply open, water and watch it grow: step by step, a small plant emerges from the decorative cup, creating a personal gift that will be remembered.

Growing the plants is great fun, and after just a few weeks the first herbs may already be ready to add flavour to dishes or cocktails. Once the plants outgrow the cup, simply transplant them into a flowerpot with some soil or into a raised garden bed. The kraft-paper cup can then be reused for growing new plants.

This is how you bring your ecopot to life:

SPlace the coconut fibre tablet in the planting cup and add a little water. Then sow the enclosed seeds and place the ecopot on a windowsill. After a few days, the ecopot comes to life and the first small green seedlings begin to emerge. With proper care, leaves from home-grown herbs can be harvested after just a few weeks and used for cooking or to add flavour to dishes and cocktails. Flowering varieties may produce their first blossoms after a few months.
