Cultivation & care:

Care instructions

ecoblock contains coconut fiber granulate, clay granulate, compostable planting cup and a plant seed packet.

  • Remove the packaging sleeve and carefully peel off the sticker. Open the seed packet and put seeds in a glass with luke warm water.
  • After 24 hours remove seeds from water and plant the seeds about 1 cm below the surface of the granulate in the ecoblock.
  • Slowly pour approx. 20 ml of water into the ecoblock.
  • Place ecoblock in a bright, warm place and water moderately until germination (approx. 10-15 ml about every 3 days). The granules should not dry out – avoid waterlogging! During sprouting, care must be taken to keep the temperature above 20°C. Cover the planted seeds with a glass.
  • Remove glass daily for 1 hour to give plant air. The banana plant will begin to germinate after about 2-4 weeks. Sometimes it can take up to between 4-8 weeks until the first green sprouts peak out. Continue watering the ecoblock only moderately.
  • If the plants get too big, simply transplant them with the compostable pot into a flower pot with some soil. The ecoblock can then be used as a pen holder, for example!
