Bot. name: Strelitzia reginae
Characteristics: Bird-of-paradise flower, also called called crane flower, is a popular houseplant, producing beautiful flowers reminiscent of flying birds. The "Strelitzia reginae" seeds used by us is closely related to the banana plant, which is evident in its similar-looking large fan-like leaves.

growtainer contains coconut fiber granulate, clay granulate and plant seeds.

Open the growtainer carefully. Open the seed packet and carefully remove any stringy orange tufts attached to them with a clean knife. Put seeds in a glass with luke warm water for 48 hours.
After 48 hours remove seeds from water and plant the seeds 1-2 cm (1/2 to 1 inch) deep and a few centimetres/several inches apart. Slowly pour approx. 60 ml of water into the growtainer and place in a bright, warm place. Water the can moderately (approx. 40 ml about every 3 days). The granules should not dry out – avoid waterlogging!
Bird-of-paradise flower seeds are slow to germinate, taking up to 8 weeks to germinate. Continue to water the plant moderately.
It will take at least 4-6 years of growth for the plant to start blooming.
As soon as the plant gets too big for the can, carefully remove it and transplant it into a flower pot with some soil.
PLEASE REUSE ME! After transplanting, the box can be cleaned and reused as a pen holder, for example!
