Care instructions

ecobox contains coconut fibre tablet, wooden plant stick for writing on, compostable planting cup and a plant seed bag.

  • Remove the sleeve, slide the lid off the box and take out the contents. Paint the wooden box with the included coloured pencils.
  • Place the compostable growing pot in the box, fill it with the coconut fibre tablet and slowly pour water up to about 2 cm below the edge of the cup.
  • About 5 minutes later, the coconut fibre tablet has transformed into coconut fibre soil as if by magic.
  • Label the plant stick (e.g., with the planting date) and/or paint it and carefully place it in the ground. Open the plant seed bag and scatter the seeds on the ground. Cover the planted seeds with some coconut fibre soil so that they are completely covered.
  • Place the ecobox in a bright, warm place (e.g., on the windowsill) and only water moderately (about 40 ml about every 3 days – avoid waterlogging!). Now it's time to be patient!
  • After about 14-20 days, the silk acacia slowly begins to grow. Continue to water the plant moderately. The leaves fold into a "dormant position" at night or during dry periods.
  • As soon as your silk acacia gets too big for the ecobox, simply transfer it into a flower pot with some soil using the compostable nursery pot.
  • You can then use the wooden box itself, e.g., as a pen holder, gift or toy storage box!
  • After about 5 years of growth, the acacia can be transferred outside.
